office fansIt’s summer, and time to choose the right office fans for a comfortable workplace. You may not need them every day in the UK, which is why most offices don’t have air conditioning. But when it gets hot and steamy, you’ll be glad you have them…

Last weekend, we got a preview of what’s to come! With temperatures in the very high 20s and up, now is the season for time on the beach. And I will definitely be enjoying some beach time myself… whenever the weather cooperates… cooling off with a swim and enjoying the breeze…

But what to do when Monday rolls around? Clearly, we can’t bring the ocean (or the pool) to the office. But we CAN bring the breeze… That’s when it’s time to bring out the office fans!

How to choose the right office fans

Check the fans you still have from last year, make sure they’re in good working order, set them up and turn them on. You’ll have a chance to put them to the test on Monday! Do they have enough cooling power, or will you have to supplement?

Depending on how your office is set up, you may need several types of fans – large fans designed for keeping entire rooms at a comfortable temperature, and smaller fans to provide some additional cooling power for teammates who need an extra breeze to feel comfortable.

Marketing Lessons From Euro 2016

marketing lessons from euro 2016 football soccerTomorrow is the official kick-off for the Euro 2016 international football (soccer) championship starts on Friday. In our office in London, we’re really excited and in fact, we’re doing a big special promotion to celebrate and support our team. There’s also a big marketing lesson in all those Euro 2016 activities, ours as well as everyone else’s.

For about a week, we’ve been giving away a special Euro 2016 Football Tracker with any order, which allows you to see exactly who will play against whom – and when. They went like hotcakes.

Wheel of Fortune: Make A Splash At Events

But why stop there? Today, I’d like to share how you can make a big splash at events, using a Wheel of Fortune. Which kinds of events, you may be wondering. The answer is that many of the tips will work for just about any kind of event. Just be sure you know your target audience and the brand you want to represent.

The Magic of the Wheel of Fortune

Our own secret weapon is the Wheel of Fortune. It’s fun and people love to take a turn and win a prize. In fact, the wheel of fortune really helped us attract a lot of attention and get our name and info into lots of additional hands! So we highly recommend it.

But what to give away as prizes

There are lots of options, from small gifts, such as branded trolley keys or pens all the way to t-shirts and umbrellas. In between, you could include, yes, canvas shopping bags!

But that’s not all. In order to ensure that people give you their contact information, be sure to raffle off a big gift item or two. Gather people’s business cards in a big fish bowl, and have a prize draw at the end of the event. The winner(s) do not have to be present to win.

Gift Baskets

That’s where a big gift basket comes in handy. There’s just one question: What do you put into the gift basket? First of all, be sure to make the basket itself flashy and attractive-looking. People should really WANT that basket.

Depending on the number of attendees, you might even add a smaller version as a second prize.

The large version should have some combination of the following: Several branded items, including everything on the table that was given away one at a time to the wheel of fortune winners: trolley keys, pens, note pads, highlighters, coffee mugs, t-shirts, umbrellas, and more. I would also suggest a gift certificate for a discount off an order. There should be NO minimum order for this one, though.

You can also add sweets, along with a couple of bottles of water, mints, and more. Those don’t have to be branded, but if you happen to have branded mints or water bottles, by all means, include them.

Where You Can Make A Splash At Events

So where can you set up your table? At just about any event, including community events, art shows, conferences, and more. Take advantage of any opportunity to gain extra visibility for your business.

Some events, usually charitable events, require you to be a sponsor to get a table. If it’s a cause you support, by all means, sponsor it. It’ll give you even more visibility.
